Welcome to the South Side Tattoo family!
Hi, I'm Tattoo Erik from Valkenburg aan de Geul, a little place in the south of the Netherlands. I started tattooing because of my dad. He was a great tattoo artist for 35 years and still is. I learned all my skills from him. He made me the tattoo artist I am nowadays.
The world of tattoos had my attention when I was just a little boy. I always wanted to be a tattoo artist. When I was 9 years old I tattooed for the first time, it was a piece on the wrist of my dad. From that moment on I realised I wanted to be a real tattoo artist.
Since 5 years I'm running the shop, the same one my dad owned. I love to go to work every single day again. Especcialy I love working on customers who give me a free hand on their piece. Working free hand is the best part of my job if you ask me. In that way I can give a piece my own 'signature'. It gives me a great feeling if a customer walks out of the shop with a big smile on his face.
I started this blog because of a very dear friend of mine. He is like a brother to me. In this blog you can read things about me and the shop. Besides that you can watch the weekly TV-program of South Side Tattoo. All episodes will be shown at this blog.
